A fabulous opportunity for citizen scientists, landholders, and mammal enthusiasts/nature lovers to record mammal diversity and meet some of Wildlife Queensland’s fabulous project officers at Queensland Trust for Nature’s Mammal Muster weekend on 20–21 August. You’ll get to:
- camp under the stars and contribute to Citizens for Refuge Ecology (C4RE)’s survey to explore and record the mammalian diversity of Mount Mellum Nature Refuge in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland
- learn about the variety of methods used to monitor this elusive group of animals, including camera trapping and bioacoustic surveys
- discover how you can do your bit to conserve mammals on your patch of country
- find out how conservation programs such as Wildlife Queensland‘s are helping our unique Australian mammals survive and thrive
- enjoy dinner around the campfire and spotlighting in the evening.
