Minnippi wetlands submissions close - October 2005

The deadline has now passed for members of the public to make submissions to Brisbane City Council over the proposal for the 125 ha Minnippi wetlands site becoming a controversial residential, corporate and golf course development titled 'the Cannon Hill Community Links' by the commercial developer BMD Group.

Wildlife Queensland has been part of the campaign to oppose this development that is widely regarded by local people and conservationists as inappropriate use of a valuable natural area.

Wildlife Queensland would like to thank its members and other wildlife supporters who contacted us about the proposal and who put in their own objections.

Keep in touch with this campaign by checking Wildlife Queensland's website for updates. You can also find information at Minnippi Against Development and Brisbane Regional Environmental Council.
