QANTAS support the Bilby Brothers - September 2002

During October QANTAS is screening the Bilby Brothers Documentary 'The Men Who Killed The Easter Bunny' on their in-flight entertainment system for the first time. For those of you who have never heard of a bilby, this story will show you their plight. Bilbies are long-nosed, big-eared bandicoots that scurry about in the Australian Outback. Thanks to feral animals like foxes they are near extinction and desperately need the help of everyday people if they are to survive.

The documentary has also been short listed for the International Nature and Wildlife Film Festival in Germany (NaturVision) from 18th to the 23rd of September 2002.

It runs for approximately 48 minutes and can be purchased directly from Frank Manthey at Charleville on 07 4654 1255. Profits from the sale of the video will provide much needed financial support to the 'Save the Bilby Fund' (AUD$25 inc postage & packing within Australia).

For more information about the poultry shed grant scheme and other activities, contact Wildlife Queensland by email or call +61 7 3221 0194.
