Hello and welcome to our latest my.Wildlife eBulletin. Thank you to everyone who came to our film fundraiser
at the Palace Centro Cinema on Friday 22 September to see 'An Inconvenient Truth.' We had capacity numbers to
see this fascinating and informative documentary about climate change.
Congratulations to our August eBulletin competition winner, WPSQ member Robert Standish-White who correctly
answered that the Environment Minister received more than 5000 postcards urging the permanent ban on the sport
shooting of duck and quail in Queensland. Robert wins the 'State of the Planet' DVD featuring David Attenborough.

Vale Steve Irwin
Wildlife Queensland
would like to express the Society's sadness at the death of Steve Irwin, extraordinary wildlife communicator
and founder of Australia Zoo and Wildlife Warriors Worldwide Ltd.
In his short life, Steve achieved so much. He made huge numbers of people aware of wildlife and conservation
issues by sharing his enthusiasm and joy in the natural world.
Our tribute.
