Traveston delay a reprieve for lungfish
Wildlife Queensland has welcomed the Queensland government's decision to delay the Traveston Crossing Dam on the Mary River for environmental reasons.
The Mary River is one of the best sites for protection of the lungfish - regarded as a species of global significance because of its extraordinary ancient genetic lineage. Read more

MangroveWatch: our new project
We've got a brand new project - MangroveWatch - and we're looking for volunteer help. We all know mangroves provide coastal habitat for fish and other marine life. Wildlife Queensland will be running a community monitoring program to keep track of the health of the mangroves in Moreton Bay.

Farewell Len Webb
The Wildlife Preservation Society of Queensland is saddened by the death of Dr Len Webb AO, eminent rainforest scientist and Vice-President of WPSQ in 1963.
