Do you need to get out more? The August issue of my.Wildlife is all about getting out and about: along the stock routes, on the river on a batty boat cruise, on a quoll survey, and out cycling for wildlife. You can even go to a global dance festival for peace that promotes wildlife – while wearing fashion that supports wildlife too. |
Save our Stockroutes
The network of stock routes in Queensland runs the length and breadth of the state. The trails support wildlife and native vegetation in linked corridors across the landscape.
Wildlife Queensland’s new campaign wants to preserve and make the most of the network’s wildlife, conservation and heritage values.

Make pet laws stronger
A new trial is a step towards reducing the number of unwanted cats and dogs in Gold Coast, Logan, Moreton Bay RC and Townsville, but Wildlife Queensland wants the state government to introduce stronger laws across the state to reduce the impact of pets on native wildlife.

Looking for quolls in NQ
What happens on a quoll survey? What would you do with a dollop of chicken mince and a metal U-hoop? We’ve got a field report from a WPSQ member who took part in the first survey carried out by the QSN in North Queensland.
