Moreton Bay Branch (originally Caboolture Branch) was renamed in 2010 following the redistribution of Council Shires.
The branch now encompasses the whole of Moreton Bay Shire. Meetings are usually held on Saturday mornings featuring a guest speaker but on other occasions the meetings may take the form of an activity such as a spotlighting .The meetings are held at CREEC (Caboolture Region Environmental Education Centre). The meetings are advertised in the community and members of the public are always welcome. The branch has representatives on committees, and as members, in many local environmental groups. WPSQ is represented on the management committee of CREEC and is a founding member of Friends of CREEC. Notice of Branch activities and the Newsletter are available on the CREEC website.
Members are regularly requested to speak to community and school groups and mount displays at local fetes and environmental days, many are involved in bushcare, plant propogation and the annual koala census.
A group within the Branch, CABBOS, led by an expert and passionate birdwatcher, conducts regular excursions locally and occasionally, for longer periods, further afield.
The monthly newsletter of the Branch is circulated to all members and other interested bodies. It features articles by members and advertises future events, as well as providing detailed reports of the CABBOS outings.
