The Pine Rivers Branch helps to encourage habitat protection for all wildlife. As a practical demonstration of this philosophy, the branch manages a koala habitat reserve in Whiteside. We also make submissions in response to local issues. Guest speakers are organised for the meeting and an excursion is organised (for the alternate month) to a place of interest within the Shire. As a group we participate in community activities such as Clean-Up Australia Day, Outside and Alive, weed busting at Mungarra and the annual koala census. Each month we have either a meeting or an activity.
