The branch has an interesting and varied range of activities in addition to monthly meetings. Here's a selection of what the branch has done in the last 12 months:

• Investigating weed and feral animal issues throughout all of North-East Brisbane Wetlands - Boondall, Brighton, Deagon Wetlands, Sandgate Lagoons and Tinchi-Tamba
• Studying impact of cement recycling site on mangroves and wetlands
• Raising community awareness of Tinchi-Tamba
• Promoting Mountains to Mangroves concept from the Brisbane Forest Park to Moreton Bay at Boondall plus the bi-annual the M2M Festival.
• Assisted with hosting a delegation from Yatsu Higata Wetlands here to celebrate the wetlands agreement between BCC and Narashino City in Japan.
• Liaised with Brisbane City Council over the addition of approx 65 hectares, called Western Extension, to Boondall Wetlands
